In the game of Blackjack, the player is competing
against the dealer only, not the other players. With Boss Media
software, you can choose a table with the following limits, $1-100,
$5-500, or $25-1,000. The objective is for the player is to get
their hand as close to 21 as possible without going over 21. If the
first two cards that you are dealt (before you hit), you have
Blackjack. A Blackjack win pays 3 to 2 (as long as the dealer
doesn’t also have Blackjack). If your hand value is closer to 21
than the dealer’s hand then you win even money. If your hand equals
more than 21, you “bust” and lose your bet. If your hand and the
dealer’s hand are equal in value, it is called a “push” and you get
your bet back. Boss Media Blackjack uses six 52 card decks that are
shuffled after each round and follows “Las Vegas Strip” rules with
only two exceptions: you can only split a hand once and you can
double after splitting a hand. As with all variations of Blackjack,
the dealer must follow certain rules. In this version, as long as
the dealer has 17 or more, they must stand, if they have 16 or less,
they must hit. This prevents the dealer from being able to decide
whether or not to hit based on the value of the player’s hand.
In order to place a bet, press the “Join” button once you are at
a table to join that game. Players are allowed to play up to three
hands at a time (in a single player game). The next step is to click
on the chip that you wish to use to bet with your left mouse button.
This chip will appear on the table in the betting area. If you
change you mind about how much you want to bet before the game
starts, just right click on the chip and place a new bet.
