Blackjack

The basic rules for Blackjack are the same pretty much anywhere you go, there are always a few differences, but overall, it is the same game. Below are some of the betting and payout rules for Microgaming’s version of Blackjack.

1. If the dealer busts, the player automatically wins.

2. If your hand consists of an Ace and either a 10 or a face card, you have a Blackjack. This hand can not be beaten, but it can be matched. If the dealer does not have Blackjack you win and are paid 3 to 2.

3. A “Push” is when the value of your hand and the value of the dealer’s hand are equal. In this instance, your wager is returned to you and the round is over. This applies to tied Blackjack hands as well.

4. If the dealer shows Blackjack after you have either Split or Doubled Down, the entire amount of your bet is lost, this includes your original bet and any Double Down or Split bets.

In Microgaming’s Blackjack game, you are allowed to “Split” any two cards that have the same value (i.e. a Jack and a Queen). Once you do this, your original hand is separated into two hands with a bet equal to your first bet placed on the second hand. Keep in mind that if you split two aces or two cards valued at 10 and subsequently get 21, this is not considered a Blackjack. In this version of the game, yo can split up to three times per round, except Aces, Aces can only be split once and if you split a pair of Aces, you are dealt one card and the hand stands. The Double Down rules of Microgaming Blackjack are also pretty similar to other versions. You are allowed to Double Down after your hand is dealt and the Double Down bet doubles the amount of your original bet (i.e. if you double down on a bet of $10, the new bet is $20). You are allowed to Double Down after a Split as well.
